OldWorldWitchcraft.com was born in 2013, out of pure love for Eastern and Central European Witchcraft -- the practices of the village grandmothers (babushkas), secretly performing powerful rituals utilizing wild-harvested herbs, roots, crafted ritual blends and pure beeswax Old World Ritual Candles. Of course, we have expanded and elaborated their secret practices, but the core has remained the same and we are honored to share the craft of the old ways.

Dacha Avelin, the founder of OldWorldWitchcraft.com, is an occultist, a Witch, and a self-proclaimed self-help junkie. She has been deeply involved in various forms of occultism, witchcraft, and practical spirituality for nearly three decades.
Being a fearless explorer, Dacha is passionate about implementing the spiritual practices of pre-Christian Europe. Achieving the powerful combination of modern mind techniques with various forms of Old World magick has become a large part of her personal practice, as well as something she shares with clients.
Coming from a long line of Eastern European Witches and a rich spiritual, cultural heritage, her roots in witchcraft matured quickly...and at a very early age! Her passion for manifestation-focused techniques and the practical use of Eastern European Witchcraft has always been at the forefront of her life.
