The bare forest of winter are now fertile and robust with new life. The dark days of winter are a fading memory. We take joy in the vast abundance of new life and an inner awakening. We hold the the optimism of a bountiful harvest and a prosperous fall.
But at this moment during the longest, most light-filled day of the year, we must not forget the balance of life and death. The continuous cycle of rebirth. As of this weekend, the days begin to shorten as darkness of the night grows.
Our neighbors in the Southern Hemisphere are celebrating the start of their Winter. As crops slowly die and winter takes over, the cycle of life is now dormant - at rest, patiently awaiting its time of rebirth.
Wherever you are in the world, I urge you to spend time appreciating your space on this Earth. Form a deeper, more meaningful connection with the nature and cycles of seasons around you.
Notice the similarities between the changes you see in nature and within yourself. The shedding of old thought patterns, old habits and old cycles. The rebirth of self - including new experiences, new priorities and new passions.
Whether your days are now growing or receding, this special day holds significance in finding balance in your cycle of life. Whether this means exploring your light or learning to celebrate your darkness, this day can be profound.
Wishing you a blessed Solstice!
Love & Magick,
