Compare the art of witchcraft or magick to the art of painting or playing a musical instrument. It's fair to say that most people can learn to play the piano, paint a lake in watercolor, etc., But there are of course those who are simply born with more musical talent or artistic ability than others.
Same goes for magick and witchcraft. These skills can always be taught, but some are born with more natural ability than others.
Breaking this down even further, witches typically focus on certain types of spells more than others. Every variety of magickal working carries its own energy and vibrational resonance. Tuning into the frequencies of certain spells becomes second nature.
For example, those who have become well-versed in money magick typically will have a difficult time with healing spells. And vice versa!
Keep in mind, it's not because one is more important than the other. It's only because the focus on one has been much stronger than the other.
The wider variety of spellwork you perform, the better equipped you will be to handle absolutely all matter of spells. In this regard, magick is no different than cooking or riding a horse. Building a keen sense of well-done spellwork is the only way to become an effective, well-rounded witch.
Keep practicing a wide variety of spells, fine-tune your skills and all of your magick will be effective!
Love & Magick,
